Maria I. Ortiz

María I. Ortiz holds a Ph.D. in Romance Languages and Literatures from the University of Cincinnati, where she teaches Spanish as a foreign language. She is the codirector of the Learning and Teaching Center at UC Blue Ash in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a member of the University’s Academy of Fellows in Teaching & Learning. Her teaching has been recognized with the University of Cincinnati's Mrs. A.B. Dolly Cohen Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Excellence in Teaching Awardee for the 33rd Annual Celebration of Teaching 2020 of The Greater Cincinnati Collegiate Connection Consortium (GC3), and the UCBA Innovative Teaching Award.
