Dr Marta Guron received her BA in Chemistry at Cornell University, followed by a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania. She has dedicated her career to sustainability, chemical education and finding a voice for women and minorities in STEM. She has published both on laboratory research and chemical education, and has been quoted in both mainstream and niche periodicals as an expert in waste management. She now serves as the Managing Director of the NSF funded Center for Sustainable Separations of Metals, combining her passion for sustainability and her work in Inorganic Chemistry.
