Laura Guyer Ross received her BA and MA in Oboe Performance and is currently pursuing her Ed.D in Higher Education Leadership. Laura has performed with both outstanding orchestras and as a solo performer in smaller chamber groups. In her teaching career, has taught everything from oboe lessons to online music courses and First-Year Seminar Courses. As Associate Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Maryville University, Laura's role includes developing active learning programming for adjunct faculty as well as full-time faculty. Laura’s research interests include the adjunct faculty experience and transformative learning. She frequently draws upon both her music and teaching experiences when reflecting on best practices in the realm of teaching and learning.
