Betsy A. VanDeuesen is an Associate Professor in the Teacher Education and Professional Development department at Central Michigan University, teaching undergraduate and graduate literacy courses. She holds the Marie Berrell Endowed Professorship in support of literacy engagement with the community and is the Director of The Literacy Center at CMU. Her research interests include literacy development, school reform, and communities of practice.
